1. Tell yourself that no matter what, some level of disruption to a child is going to happen.

2. Starting with messes and clutter that you see every day. Get set up the kitchen, garage, family room and the room before the cabinet.

3. Use for socks drawer dividers, lingerie, clothing and small items, so they separated and organized.

This will save you many hours searching for something.
